Nestled amidst the lush forests and rugged hills of Northern Dang in South Gujarat, Roopgadh Fort stands at approximately 1,670–1,680 feet above sea level. Combining history, trekking and natural beauty, the fort offers panoramic views of the surrounding valleys, hills and dense greenery.

The trail features natural forest paths, rocky sections and gradual climbs, making the journey an engaging trekking experience. With historical associations to the Maratha Empire, Roopgadh also preserves remnants of old stone fortifications and a historic water-storage tank, offering a glimpse into the region’s rich past.

Today, Roopgadh is known for its scenic trekking trails and historic ruins. The trail winds through the beautiful Dang forests, leading to the remains of the old fort, including sections of stone walls, a historic water-storage tank and other structures.

This short, beginner-friendly trek is ideal for a memorable one-day adventure, offering a rewarding climb through the natural beauty of the region.

  • 06:00 am – Daparture from Surat

  • Any valuable items brought to the camp like Binoculars and cameras to be brought at owners risk.
  • It will be the personal responsibility of the participants to take care of their belongings.
  • Medical facility in the form of first-aid will be available and best care of the participants will be taken.
  • The activities listed above are subjected to change.
  • Electric / Mobile / electronic entertainment gadgets are restricted.
  • Instructions from Guide should be strictly followed.
  • Do not bring any valuable to the camp. Binoculars and cameras to be brought at owners risk. It will be the personal responsibility of the participants to take care of their belongings.
  • Electric / Mobile / electronic entertainment gadgets are not encouraged.
  • If you have a history of any communicable or infectious disease, please mention.
  • No refund will be made against cancellation.
  • No refund will be given in case the camp gets cancelled due to any unforeseen circumstances, act of God or force majeure. In this case, the amount will be adjusted in any other camp of wilderness India and can be used in 2 years from the date of cancelled camp.
